Travails of a Creative Spirit

Hello, Hola, Welcome to my pages!

I live on the island of Lanzarote, which is closer to Africa than Spain and where its hot hot hot far too much of the time. And today I want to tell the world how great life is. Really! I have just come out of a 6 month fog, I thought at the time my life was almost over, because I had such terrible fatigue. 6 months of laying on the bed with another 3 day migraine and too tired to do anything, it was painful to think . 3 weeks ago, it lifted, I feel  normal. More than normal, I am supercharged, because I am now so grateful for everything. Every time I pick up a camera, go for a walk, talk on the phone, go and shop for groceries, work at my art projects, I feel I can achieve almost anything.

This is just the start of my creative journey… and this is the abstract acrylic painting I’ve  finished that I had started in January. A Study in Red.

Following on with the painting, during the rest of the week I completed the Faux stone arches in the hallway, dining room and front entrance that I had started before Christmas. I used acrylic paints and a watercolour pencil for the outline.
